Vacation Day 4

Bridget_19Today was our final day at the beach. It was actually the best weather day we've had so far. Our day started like the previous one, coffee and breakfast on our balcony. After that we went to Sea Breeze Winery. It was a little early for wine tasting but we wanted to get to the beach asap! We sampled some really good wines and then made our purchases and we were on our way. We literally could not wait to get to the beach and soak up the sun! It was so nice just relaxing, reading a book and drinking some Coronas. I felt like we could have been in a Corona commercial. Even though we've been here before we weren't able to get into the ocean because it was to cold but not this time! It was cold but not unbearable. It was pretty cool actually being out in something that big and powerful. Eric said he wished he would have gotten to see some fish, I on the other hand was pleased with the lack of wild life. After a few hours at the beach we made our way to the condo pool and sat there for awhile also. All and all it was a really great last day because we just chilled out all day. I am ready to get back home but will miss the beach on ocean!

Vacation Day 3

Day 3 has definitely been my favorite day so far! We woke up and had coffee and breakfast on our balcony over-looking the beach. I would love for each of my days off to start like that at home. I love just sitting and sipping my coffee and relaxing. After breakfast we decided to take a walk on the beach. We picked up a few shells and then decided to take it easy for a little bit in some lounge chairs. The best and most exciting thing we did today was rented jet ski's for dolphin and Shell Island tour. It was so cool, I cant even come up with words. To be in the Gulf of Mexico on a jet ski is like nothing I've ever done. We seen dolphins that would swim up by you, it was amazing!!! Shell Island is totally reserved so there is nothing on it but wild life and tons of Shells. It was beautiful! I cant believe we actually missed it last time we were here. I'm telling you we both LOVED it!!!! After our tour we came back to the condo and cleaned up and went to Pier Park again. I really like it there, its fun just to walk up and down the streets. We ended up at Margaritaville again and had "loaded LandSharks". What is that you ask well I'll tell you....Its a landshark beer with a shot of tequila in it with a lime! It was yummy!!! Our night ended with a nice soothing dip in the hot tub. We had a great day today and hopefully tomorrow will be as great!

Vacaction Day 2

Day 2 Vacation to Panama City Beach.

After a really good nights sleep at the Country Inn and Suites in Dothan, Alabama we hit the road to Panama City! We stopped at the Florida state line and got some tourist information so we could start planning our day. When we arrived in Panama our condo wasn't ready yet so we decided to get some lunch at Sharkys Bar and Grill. We were able to sit outside and eat so that was really nice. My only problem is I HATE birds and even though they did not come to close they were close enough. After we were stuffed we headed to Pier Park to do some shopping! We got a few souvenirs and I got a henna tattoo! Haha, yep I sure did! I know I'm 27 years old but I don't care, I thought I could try it on for size and see if I would like a real one! We got lost a couple of times looking for stuff but not really that big of deal. When our room was finally ready we checked in and of course hit the beach. We were able to relax for a little bit and enjoy the ocean. Before we knew it, it was time to eat again!! We ate at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville! It was a really cool atmosphere and the food was great!!! Before we came back to the condo we forgot we needed something at Wal Mart so we thought we'd stop and pick up one little thing(coffee filters;very important), however I noticed they had a whole big section of souvenirs things!!! Who knew you could buy souvenirs at Wal Mart!!!??? Anyway our $2 coffee filters turned into $45 just like that! After a full day we were ready to get back to the condo and just relax with our Corona's and that's just what we did.

I thought it would be fun if Eric guest posted on my blog about his version of our vacation. We did something like this on our honeymoon and it was really funny! So heres Erics version....

It was a really long drive down here but now that we are in our condo it is well worth it and relaxing. I think the Pier Park mall sucked. The girls on stilts at Margaritaville were different and we ordered way to much food and I couldnt even eat everything I ordered and that never happens. I also should have bought one of the expensive blenders they had there. Thats all I have to say about that I am looking forward to the things we are going to do the next few days.

Vacation Day 1

Day 1 of our trip to Panama City Beach.

We left bright and early at 9:50a.m. LOL. Thats a joke I know its not that early but we didnt want to rush around to get on the road. Mom came over and we briefed her on her house watching duties. Actually it was more Eric telling her that his lawn mower and jeep were off limits. (he doesnt like her driving). It was pretty much a very LONG day of driving, we litterally drove 11 hours with frequent bathroom breaks becasue I have the worldest smallest bladder. We stopped in Dothan, Alabama which is about 90 miles from Panama. We are staying at a Country Inns and Suits. Its very clean and cozy so hopefully we will get a good nights sleep before we hit the beach tomorrow!

Questions Answered.

Thank you all for participating in my 100th post questions! Okay so here we go....

That's Sassy ask..."What are your must see TV shows?" Well, I have a few...Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice are my two favorites but I must say I am a tv junkie so I DVR..Cougar Town, Modern Family, 90120, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters and when its on Bachelor or Bachelorette. Wow, I really watch a lot of shows, I dont think I have ever really listed them like that.

Crazy Shenanigans ask.."Where is one place you would like to live?" I actually love living where I am close to my family but I've always thought it would be fun to live in the city, like New York, San Francisco some place totally different than what Im used to.

Watching Airplanes ask.."What is your favorite thing to do at work?" My all time favorite thing to do is color! Its fun making changes to peoples styles and looks all with a little bit of color. I like change and color is something that you can change fairly frequently as long as you take care of the hair.

Sugar Sweet Thoughts.."What does the inside of your house look like" She requested pics so here ya go. Im going to warn you my house wasnt that clean but I've put off taking the pics long enough.

Quote of the day

My friend at Sugar Sweet Thoughts used to do a quote of the day and I always loved it, so in lue of my week I am going to bring it back this week.

Faith makes things possible, not easy. ~Author Unknown

Bridget_19

Its time for a change

Its only Tuesday and its been a rough week. I cant really go into the details out of respect to all the people involved. All I can say is since Sunday I have had to dig deep for strength, faith, and hope. I have had to try very hard to not let stress overcome my life. I have had to come to terms with the fact that I cant fix everything and to not beat myself up for only doing what I can do. Without my sister and husband I don't know how I would handle stressful things. I apologize for the vagueness but when the time is right I may be able to write more. The truth is that everyone is okay and I know each day will get better. I believe that God will only put on you what you can handle so with faith, prayer, and time this thing that seems like a huge crater in the road will merely be a small bump.

Its the small things in life.

Its the small things in life that make me happy. I know Valentines Day is coming up and last year I posted how overrated I thought it was and I still believe the same way. However instead of writing about that again this year I thought instead I would write about the small things my honey does to show he loves me. See I think we shouldn't just wait until a holiday dedicated to love to show our love for the people who mean so much to us.

I love when Eric

  • fills my car up with gas because he knows I hate it.
  • helps me pack my lunch when I am running late in the morning, which is alot.
  • unloads the dishwasher even when I didn't ask him to.
  • eats Mexican food even though he is truly sick of it.
  • changes his clothes 4 times in one day and leaves them on the chest at the end of the bed. I actually don't love that but it makes me laugh.
  • knows Im having a bad day and just hugs me.
  • understands how much my family means to me so loves their craziness.
Just a few little things that I love that Eric does for me that sometimes I overlook. I hope everyone enjoys their Valentines Day but also make sure you tell the people you love that you love them everyday not just Feb. 14th.

Friends

Friends are one of the greatest gifts we can be given. They make us smile when we are sad or let us vent when we need to get something off our chest. I am so grateful to have good friends. The truth is there are many different types of friends. There are the friends that you've had so long you don't remember a time when you weren't friends. Some friends you can pick right up with even if it's been months since you've actually talked. Then there's the friends that you have a connection with that regardless of the time and distance it always seems to be there. Living in a small town I feel like I have a lot of friends I dont see often but know they would be there if need be. It's a great feeling to know that there will be people there for you if you fall or that will be there to help you celebrate the good things in life. Friends love you for who you are and dont give a second thought to your flaws, or short comings. They are the best to laugh with, cry with, and talk with. They give you perspective, support, love, encouragement and sometimes criticism. I have been blessed to have many friends and even more blessed that I married my best one.

Eric new obsession

I dont know if any of you have ever seen the NBC show Heros but it has taken over my husband. He started watching it on Netflix on a late night when he couldn't sleep and since then almost every hour of his time when he's not working or sleeping he is watching it. His schedule is weird so he usually has a few days off in a row throughout the week so it gives him ample time to watch 3 1/2 seasons in a short period of time. Sadly I have gotten into the season also but not to the level he is. Last night we were out and several times he would say things to reference to the show. Now let me remind you that this is a sci-fi show about people with special abilities so it was funny that he was making up stuff while we were out about people saying what their "ability" was. Even going as far as doing certain mannerisms like the villain in the series. I couldn't stop laughing nor could I stop going along with it because it was so funny. I think Eric is as crazy about Heros as I was about the Twilight Book series so I just have to laugh because he's never gotten caught up on something like this. We will see how the love affair continues since now he can only watch one episode a week now like all the other Hero lovers.

Am I lame???

Is it lame that for 2 Fridays in a row Eric has had to work and I have done NOTHING????!!!! It's not for a lack of invites but the lack of desire to do anything. Last Friday I laid down with Eric for a nap before he went to work and then fell asleep and instead of getting up when he left just stayed in bed till the next morning! Now tonight I am reading blogs and such which isn't lame in the least but I feel like I should be out being social with my friends. Even as I'm writing this Im frustrated with myself that I cant muster up the energy or desire to go out. I guess there's nothing I can do about it just hope it passes before to long or my friends may think Im becoming a hermit.

This and That

I have a bunch of jumbled stuff in my head that I am trying to sort through. Its like my brain is on overload and I cant get it to come out in writing correctly. Its not necessarily stressful stuff but just stuff.

For instance I am watching Jay Leno thinking why is Heidi Klum so pretty and she seems funny and nice. I have to say thats just not fair! Also with all the drama with Jay Leno, Conan Obrien and who will get the late night spot after the news. I myself haven't watched Conan since he took over the late show and find it hard to watch Jay at 9 because there's so many other shows on at that time. Such the dilemma....I guess we will have to wait and see what NBC decides.

I know I need to post pictures of my new sofa, which we love by the way! I knew I would like it I was unaware Eric would love it so much. Every-time we are on the sofa watching TV, he's like I love this thing, it makes me laugh. Speaking of laughing Eric and I have this constant battle with me turning off the lights when I leave a room. You would think I was 5 years old or something. Eric is constantly saying, "Are you going back in there?" Its horrible Im like babe Im sorry Im all for saving energy but I just cant seem to remember. So now when he ask me I start laughing and hang my head and go back to the bathroom, bedroom, closet, kitchen, laundry room and shamelessly turn them off. At a wedding we were at in December they had a little sign above the light switch that said "please turn off light." I ran and got Eric and was like we really need these! Anyway, moving on.....

Eric by fluke one night couldn't sleep and started watching Hero's on Netflix with his computer. He became obsessed with watching them until like 2a.m. I would wake up and he would have his ipod ear buds in with his little laptop just sitting there all into these shows. I was like I cant believe you like watching them like that, his new laptop is only 10 inches but he said wearing the ear buds made it seem like surround sound so that made up for it. I thought he was crazy but now Im am totally into them now and we are about to start on Season 3!

I colored my hair darker this week and its taking me awhile to adjust. I typically take to a new hair color very quickly but not this time for some reason. I guess I should post a picture of my new hair- do also, I need to make a list of things I want to do on my blog. Oh, and I am only a few post away from 100 and thinking about doing something fun....but what??? Any ideas would be great!

My Snow Day

It's the time of the year when you get lucky and get a snow day!! I had to go to work for just a little bit this morning but I really should have stayed home because the roads were slick. I made it home safely however and have been enjoying my unexpected day off. I have made cookies, washed the sheets in the spare bedroom, played on facebook, put supper in the crock pot and now Im just waiting for Eric to get home. I am thinking he is probably going to want to take the jeep out and play in the snow but its so cold, I am not sure Im up for that. For now Im going to make another pot of coffee and snuggle up on the sofa. Enjoy the snow everyone!

My first post for the New Year.

Its been so busy with the Holidays so here's a run down of whats been going on and things on my mind.

  • We had a great Christmas but I don't feel like getting into all the details, call me lazy.
  • I have had my blog almost one year and I am so glad my friend talked me into doing this.
  • Speaking of that, Christina if you are reading this I think I would like a new blog look for 2010. I'm thinking, browns, maybe some teal blue, go crazy you know me and I trust you. No rush I know you are a very busy girl.
  • I had a nice low key New Year but didn't get my New Year's Eve kiss because my hubby had to work:(
  • We got our new sofa and I love it.
  • I need to really deep clean my house for the new year but I know I'll keep putting it off.
  • Eric is addicted to Heros that his has been watching on Netflix, via his computer. He uses head phones to listen to it and says it makes him feel like he has surround sound, I just laugh.
  • This is my 90th post so I need to decide if I'm going to do something fun for my 100th one.
  • I don't make New Years resolutions but I need to think about being a better saver.
On that note I wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2010.
