Another Blog Worthy Product

I have found another product that I feel is worthy of making my blog. It has been a saving grace for my hair this summer. It's called Moroccan Oil. Its a whole line of Shampoo, Conditioner, an oil treatment, intense curl cream, hydrating styling cream, a shine spray and a few other products. I have to say I have only used the shampoo, conditioner, and the oil treatment but I will be checking out the other products very soon.

Okay...So why I love this product. It tames down any frizz, it makes my hair super soft and touchable! Oh and the shine is amazing! I use it everyday and the oil has yet to weigh my hair down and I am using probably more than I should. If you want to know more of the details on why this product works click here to check out their website it will be easier than me going into all the technical stuff.

I got a new camera!!!

Eric and I seem to have the worse luck with our cameras, and with worse luck I mean Eric dropped ours one night like 4 times and it was bye bye Kodak Easy Share. This is our 3rd digital camera in like 4 years. Our previous 2 cameras were Kodak and I loved them they were easy to use with a decent amount of features. However after much thought and researching I went with the Cannon Power Shot. Its 12 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom, with lots of options that I am not sure how to even use yet. I haven't had a ton of photo opportunities but thought I would post a few of the pictures I have taken.

Me and Eric. I thought this picture was pretty good.

Aren't they pretty

Me and my best friend. I like this
one but we are a little shinny.

I hope to be able to figure out all my features because I hear really good things about Canons. I also will defiantly be making sure Eric puts the built in insurance around his wrist when he is using it.

A double standard...I think so.

I know that everywhere we look there are double standards.

I know that are not always fair but that's the way it is.

At the little bar in the town where I live you are bound to have them.

So tonight when my girlfriend ask me to go and have one drink and I mean one drink at the bar I agree and we head up there. It takes literally 30 seconds cause that's how close I live to it. Its kinda like the bar on Cheers where everyone knows your name and if they don't know yours they know your Dads. Anyway we walk in and there are about 12 people in there, I mean 12 guys some older and a few younger. We say hello and get our drinks and then we get a few "what are you guys doing up here" questions. No biggie I guess just small talk and nosiness. Then my girlfriend and I are going to step outside and smoke (which I only do when I am drinking or socially with her, I know shes a bad influence. Love you Minda) Anyway a few of the guys that know Eric are like Bridget you better not I'm gonna tell on you. Now I know that they are just giving me a hard time but I have to wonder......Would those same guys even wonder why Eric was at the bar with out me or tease him about doing something I may not like? Probably not which is where the double standard comes in. Its perfectly acceptable for a husband to go have a drink after work with his buddies to get time away from his wife but not okay for a wife to do the same. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with sitting at the bar all night with out your significant other but lets keep the double standards to a minimum:)

I need to know these things

My husband has the worse habit of forgetting to tell me things that are really important. This particular case and point would be that one of our close friends/Eric's cousin-in-law's Grandma passed away on Sunday. I knew that she had been sick but had no idea that she had passed. Eric talks to his cousin almost everyday so I figured that he would tell me as soon as he found out. Well that was not the case. I found out today while cutting a family members hair! I was like "how is your Mother-in-law?" She very nicely said, "Bridget she passed away on Sunday." I felt like an ass and in my head was cussing Eric's name! This is the second time he has done this to me. The last time it was 3 weeks later and we were out to dinner with friends that I asked about their Grandmother and yep that's right she had sadly passed 3 weeks earlier. I guess I should start getting the newspaper so things like this don't happen anymore. However I have to ask myself why Eric can remember to tell me the smallest detail about something at work but things like this get put in the back of his mind? I think it's a guy thing. Sorry honey it had to blogged.

Charity, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Are you supposed to be sick in the Summer?

There should be some rule against being sick in the summer. Eric and I have been under the weather for 2 days now. We have had fever, upset stomachs, and absolutely no energy. Luckily we have both been off work so we haven't had to call in but it has been such a downer because its actually nice outside. I mean there is no snow on the ground, its not 2 degrees or anything its summer!!! Getting the flu sucks in the winter dont get me wrong but at least in the winter there is nothing better you can be doing besides laying inside with your honey. The bad thing about us both being sick is we are like, "who is going to take care of us?" As we start laughing about how spoiled we are. I hope I am feeling better tomorrow because I haven't left the house in 2 days and I will be ready to get out of here. Even though we were sick it was nice just to lay around and do nothing but I would much rather feel good because there was alot of stuff I didn't get done like I usually do on my day off.

Happy 4th of July!

I hope that some of you that read my blog are having better weather wherever you may be because here in Illinois where I live its raining! Not just a sprinkle either a down pour at this moment. The small town that I live in always has a big 4th of July celebration, probably the biggest in our area. There's usually a parade, food, games, beer, oh and fireworks! I have been going to it my whole life, alot like all the other people I grew up with. Its kinda like a tradition you don't really want to miss. Its a great time to see friends you haven't seen for awhile because lots of people come home just to go to the park for the 4th of July. This is the first year that even my Dad can remember that they may not be able to have our parade. Right now I just keep watching the radar to see any break in the rain. It doesn't look good! We keep getting phone calls from family and friends asking if we know what they are going to do about the parade! People from our town and even surrounding towns won't know what to do if we cant go watch the parade. I know we seem really pathetic but this small town has been having a big 4th celebration for about 100 years so that's a big deal! That's one thing I love about living in a small town and going to a small school....the traditions it keeps for years and years. Hope you all have a great and safe 4th of July and I will hope the rain stops just long enough to get some festivities in.
