Vegas Vacation!!!

If you didn't know last week Eric and I and our friends Stacy and Johnny ventured to Las Vegas for a little vacation. It was the first real vacation Eric and I have taken since our honeymoon so it was much needed. Vegas is not your relaxing vacation but we had so much fun. We started running the minute we got there which was early Monday morning. Our first day we visited the Venetian which was one our favorite hotels. We took a gondola ride, and looked around all the shops that were there. One of the funnest things Eric and I did that day was go to a wax museum. For some reason we got a big kick out of that. It helped that they had Tupac, who my husband has always loved. Funny I know but if you know him you know its true. The rest of the day we visited the hotels and casinos and tried to take it all in. Everything is so big there. That night we got to meet Johnny's brother Pat who lives in Vegas. He is the complete opposite of Johnny kinda of hippie like but very, very nice. We were able to go eat dinner with him and let them catch up.

Day Two....This was on of our favorite days. We got up extremely early and boarded a bus to the Grand Canyon. It was a 5 hour drive and it felt like we may never get there. When we finally got there words cant describe what the canyon looked like. Fabulous, Awesome, Astonishing, Great, just to try to name a few. It almost seemed as if the Canyon wasn't real. It was like you needed to rub your eyes and make sure you were seeing what you were. We went to two different look out points and we took so many pictures trying to take it all in since it may be awhile before we get back. I must say if you are ever out in Vegas and have the time take the trip it was worth every penny and the long drive.

Day Three....We started this day out a little later than the day before which was nice for a change because we had two very early mornings. We started by eating breakfast in the hotel at a restaurant called America. I really liked this place I think we ate there like 3 out of the 5 mornings. They had the best pancakes I have eaten since my Grandma used to make them. After that Eric and Johnny headed to a golf course and Stacy and I were off to the mall. The guys golfing ended up being kind of a bust because it was a very small course. Stacy and I enjoyed doing a little shopping as always but we never get enough time to get it all in. After that we went and visited the famous WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS sign, and then back to the hotel to get ready to meet Pat in Old Vegas. This was probably Eric's favorite night. We visited the old casinos waiting for the light show to start. Eric and Pat found a casino called The Mermaid which a friend of ours had told Eric about. The waitresses were bringing Eric double and triple crown and cokes so you can only imagine. The light show was totally AWESOME, we all really enjoyed it. Eric was feeling really good by the time that we were headed back to get on the deuce to bring us back to our hotel. The driver told Eric he couldn't have his drink on the bus so he had to drink it or throw it away. The driver said however you cant throw it away because you are in Vegas and they don't allow that here. The driver thought Eric had thrown it away and called him the bus's designated wuss...It was so funny especially when Eric gets back to his seat and pulls the drink out of his pants. I was mortified. He then continued to talk to this old lady he was sitting by, I was like get us off this bus! When we finally did get off the bus the driver used his speaker and said "your the man Eric." We all started laughing as we continued to our hotel.

Day 4....Our final whole day in Vegas. First thing in the morning we took our Pink Jeep Tour to the Hoover Dam. It to was so cool. It's amazing how much engineering went into it. We did the tour and got lots of pictures, got some dam souvenirs, a dam coke and some dam nachos.LOL. We used "dam" all day that day. That night we went to Paris and went up in the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing. Eric really hated it but did it for me anyway. While we were up there we were able to see the fountains at the Bellagio. Once they were over Eric was like lets get down from here. After that we walked to the Bellagio to see the fountains up close. Besides the Canyon it was one of my favorite things we got to see. I could have stood there all night and watched them. That was our final night in Vegas and we boarded a plane home the next day and that was it...back to the real world.
